Instruction will include a thorough introduction to the sport, its equipment, its terminology, and standard safety procedures. Boat handling and the basic rowing strokes are taught by experienced Club volunteers. After the first week, much time is spent in boats working on refining technique, as well as the team aspects of the sport. No experience is necessary.
Upon successful completion of a clinic, the rower is eligible to join DRC and participate in regularly scheduled captained rows with the other masters. LTR registration fees are deducted from the annual membership fee for the current season. Rowers wishing to continue are welcome to join the club as novice rowers.
